(A story about PRIDE)
This project first began with analyzing and deciphering Hogarth's A rake's Progress, his story being
about sins and want for more and the price you will pay to achieve that goal.
His work is full of symbols and one can not instantly understand what is happening in the scene/ story strait way.
I wanted to find a story that was also based on one of the seven deadly sins an while researching
I came across the Story of the fall of Lucifer. I have also wanted to tell the story though symbols for
example, in the image of the tree of knowledge you can see that lucifer is Satan with his snake like
neck.

Lucifer is born from fire
Privileged to sit on the mountain of God
Manipulates Adam by abusing his powers
God asks Lucifer to bow to Adam and accept that they are equals
Lucifer refuses God's request and says they will never be equal
Lucifer is striped from his position (wings taken away) and plumits to earth
Lucifer, driven by rage and anger, lures Adam and Eve to
the Tree of Knowledge and temps them with the forbidden fruit
Lucifer is sentenced to reside on planes of earth
to await judgment day (in the etching, Lucifer is looking
above at the mountain of god, always wanting more and
never beeing satisfied)
